International Conference of The Russian Academy of Cosmonautics and The International Academy of Astronautics SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNOLOGICAL EXPERIMENTS ON AUTOMATIC SPACE VEHICLES AND SMALL SATELLITES June, 27-30, 2011, Samara, Russia Jointly organized by Samara State Aerospace University (national research university) State Research and Production Space-Rocket Center "TsSKB-Progress" Volga Branch of RACTs In collaboration with Russian Federal Space Agency European Space Agency The Government of the Samara Region International Astronautical Federation International Association of Space Activities Participants Call for Papers Objectives The Conference is planned to be a forum of ideas exchange and results discussion in the different fields connecting with carrying out scientific and technological experiments on automatic space vehicles and micro satellites. At conference it is supposed to discuss also results of the experiments lead and offered to realization in conditions of a micro gravitation onboard automatic space vehicles, ensuring returning of scientific instrumentation to the Earth (such as "Bion/Foton", which are planned to launch in 2012-2015); capabilities of piggy back launching of micro satellites and implementation of auxiliary experiments at orbital stages of carrier rockets and busters; coordination of activities on realization of international educational space projects; discussion of plans of creation of scientific - educational micro satellites systems.. Conference Topics Results of scientific experiments on automatic space vehicles (fluid physics, space physics, biology, biotechnology, thermophysical aspects, other fields) Implementation of scientific programs on automatic space vehicles and small satellites (automatic space vehicles and small satellites design, scientific hardware and software design, telecommunications network, orbital navigation and control aspects, hardware for separating small satellites, other themes). Influence of space disturbing factors on scientific experiments (microgravity, electromagnetic fields, Earth's atmosphere, space exposure conditions, space debris and natural micro particles, external environment of space vehicle). Opportunities of piggy back launching and carrying out experiments on orbital stages and busters Advanced researches in space and new space technologies, education space projects. Registration fee for Conference participant covers costs of Abstracts and Conference program publications, Conference participant kit, lunches, access to all Conference meetings and social events, transfer from airport to hotel and from hotel to airport. Registration fee for Accompanying person covers lunches, access to all Conference meetings and social events, transfer from airport to hotel and from hotel to airport. LANGUAGE English and Russian will be the official languages of the Conference. All reports will be done in English. Translation services from Russian to English and from English to Russian will be organized only for questions and discussions. LOCATION and CLIMATE Weather in Samara in the end of June is usually hot: the temperature reaches 25 C. Nights are warm; possible little short rains. You are advised to bring light casual clothes, umbrella and a sweater or jacket for the evenings outdoors. Conference will be carried out in Samara city which is often named as the Russian Space Capital. The population of Samara is one million and three hundred thousand. Samara has big scientific, educational, industrial and cultural potential. Samara is located on coast of Volga river, near Zhiguly national park. There are a lot of theatres, museums, showrooms and fine places for rest. VISA Most of SPEXP-2011 foreign participants will need a visa to enter the Russian Federation. Please contact Russian Embassy or Consulate well in advance of the Conference dates. The Organizing Committee will send the Official Invitation Letters (the document providing the possibility to apply for visa) for those participants and accompanying persons who indicate the necessity for it.
