1st IAA-CRPSM International Workshop on "Remote Sensing of the Environment for the Sub Saharian regions" - ReSESS 2011, October 31st - November 4th 2011, Nairobi, Kenya

The "Remote Sensing of the Environment for the Sub Saharian regions" workshop represents a natural result of its activities carried out in cooperation with the International Academy of Astronautics, with the RCMRD (Regional Centre for Mapping of Resources for Development) and with many other governmental and academic institutions of Kenya. The goal of the workshop is to build a platform for International Space Agencies, researchers, ground station operators and users to meet each other aiming at presenting new satellite system initiatives, satellite based applications and products, African infrastructures, users requirements, and examples of applications in the field of Climate Change (CC) and Disaster Monitoring Mitigation and Prediction (DMMP).
